Signal Telecom service uses a state of the art multimedia terminal adapter ("MTA-102") with built in router that converts your existing home or office phones for use with the Signal Telecom digital phone service.

The MTA will provide you with the ability to share your Internet connection between your computer and your Signal Telecom phone service. Just connect your PC and your existing phone(s) to the Signal Telecom MTA, and you will be able to surf and talk at the same time.

The MTA can be connected to your PBX to allow your business to save thousands of dollars yearly on business phone service.

How to Install:
The following are steps that will outline a typical installation of the MTA-102.

Step 1
Connect the WAN port of the Multimedia Adapter to either your DSL modem or your cable modem with an Ethernet cable.
Step 2
Connect the PC port of the Multimedia Adapter to the Ethernet port of your PC or router with an Ethernet cable.
Step 3
Connect a telephone to the TEL 1 connector using a standard phone line.
Step 4
Plug in the power cord into the POWER connector on the MTA. Depress the ON/OFF button to power on the device.
Step 5
The POWER light on the front of the device will illuminate. Wait a few minutes to allow your device to initialize.

MTA-102 Troubleshooting:
There is no dial tone:
1. Check to make sure your phone is plugged into the MTA's "TEL1 Port" and "TEL2 Port" if the 2 port is available.

2. Check to make sure that the "TEL1" (and TEL2) light is on. If the TEL1 (and TEL2) light is not on check all the connections and then reboot the xDSL or Cable Modem.
